2. What data do we collect and why?

We only collect data that is strictly necessary for the following purposes:

A. While you browse the Site (analytics data)

Through cookies and our analytics tools (Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager), we automatically collect certain information about your browsing:

• Data collected: IP address (anonymised), browser type, device type used, pages visited, time spent on the site, links clicked.
• Purpose: Measuring the Site's audience and analysing user behaviour to improve our content and browsing experience.

B. When you use our forms (quote or appointment requests)

• Data collected: First name, last name, contact details (email, phone, country/address), details of your project (product type, purchase history), meeting subject and desired appointment date.
• Purpose: Processing your request and putting you in touch with the selected partner reseller so they can provide you with a quote or confirm an appointment.
• Legal basis: Your explicit consent (collected via the checkbox on the form) or the performance of pre-contractual measures.

3. Who has access to your data?

Your personal data is primarily intended for Poolstar's internal departments in charge of handling your requests (sales department, customer service).

Transmission to partner resellers:
When you use our forms to request a quote or an appointment, the data you enter is transmitted to the partner reseller you selected. This transmission is essential so they can process your request. Once the data has been transmitted, that reseller becomes an independent data controller for the rest of your business dealings.

As part of the technical operation of our website, certain technical data may also be shared with our subprocessors:

• Google Ireland Limited (for Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager): browsing data may be transferred to servers located outside the European Union. This transfer is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.
• CookieScript: a tool used to store your consent preferences (it does not store data that directly identifies you).

Other than the resellers you have explicitly chosen, we never sell, rent or transfer your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.

4. Retention period

We keep your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:

• Audience measurement data (Google Analytics): kept for a maximum of 14 months.
• Consent choices (CookieScript): kept for 6 months (after which the banner will be displayed again to ask for your choice).
• Form data (Quotes/Appointments): kept by Poolstar for as long as necessary to process and follow up on the introduction to the reseller, then archived in accordance with statutory limitation periods (generally 3 years for commercial prospecting). Resellers apply their own retention periods once the introduction has taken place.

In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
